Alejandro Jodorowsky Megapost!

I've found in the last couple of years that I have this habit of watching the three films that the following soundtracks are connected to in marathon sessions about once every 3 months. Possibly I'm becoming obsessed.....

You are not alone in your Jodorwosky obsession, I have been watching El Topo, Holy Mountain and Santa Sangre regularly for the last twenty years (strangely they all make far more sense individually when paradoxically you watch them as part of a single sitting)...it takes a while to shift consciousness from every day consensus reality into the Jodowrosky universe as it is so freakin' 'Other'.

And to be honest, its films like these that have helped keep me 'sane'!

Three great soundtracks as well and unlike many directors who leave the sound and music to other people, Jodorowsky was much more hands-on and the strange dislocating beauty of his vision bleeds into the music itself.
